Everywhere you look, there are hill towns. While driving along a ridgeline, without turning my head, I can see a castle there, and there, and there, and .... well, everywhere.
We've visited San Gimignano, Montespertoli, Montagnana, Certaldo Alto, the Mediterranean coast, and everywhere in between. It's amazing.
It takes so much time to sift through photos and post them, and a description - so you'll just have to sit through one of my interminable slide shows sometime in the future to see the specifics.
Food has been delicious. Gelato, mmmmmmmm..... And the sandwiches here are so good. I've been living on skinny slices of salty bread, with prosciutto and cheese, or Tuscan salami and cheese. MMmmmmmmm.......
Today we're starting our journey back northward - two days to get down here from Frankfurt was really pushing it, so we'll take three to get back north. Pisa, Genova, Como, here we come.
