What time is it?

I woke up wondering what time it was - because we have to get ready to fly away today. Mom didn't know the time, but noted that the sun was shining. My reply: "Oh. If the sun is shining, it must be July."

Okay, it's only funny if you've been laughing for a week about getting back to our room before dark - which doesn't happen until August around here.

Today, it's time to negotiate airports again, and by tonight USA time (tomorrow Iceland time) we'll be in the States. After that, we'll sleep for a while, then do the flights to Albuquerque, then drive home. All in all, it will be a long stretch of travel, but worth it.

On a side note, one of my lessons learned during this trip is to avoid black luggage. It gets lost. One of the items lost in my small black case is my cell phone, which has been turned off all this time (it doesn't work in Europe). I'm about a month away from a new phone on my cell phone plan, so I'm going to be deliciously free from phones for another month - if I can hold out that long without instant Internet access. I've had a few weeks of practice, so it shouldn't be toooo hard.
